William "Bill" F. Lang, age 73 of Toledo passed away unexpectedly on Monday October 26, 2015. Bill was born in Cincinnati, OH on January 6, 1942. He attended Oak Hills High School and The University of Cincinnati. He met his wife of 44 years, Judy Weiss Lang while he was working at Sears and she was attending college. Bill was in the Army National Guard for many years. Later they moved to Toledo where they stayed and raised their family. Bill devoted himself to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. He was a very active member of Ashland Avenue Baptist Church and the Whitmer Band Boosters during his childrens' high school years. Bill was passionate about refereeing high school football games. He spent 34 seasons running up and down the sidelines, and he loved it! Bill and his family loved the outdoors and camped every chance they had. Their favorite campground was Pokagon State Park in Angola, IN. Bill and Judy volunteered and gave countless hours of service to various park projects. Bill's sales positions suited him to a T, as he was happiest being with and meeting people. He was employed by Century Equipment for 28 years and most recently worked for Ballas Buick GMC, a position he truly enjoyed. In fact, he never thought of it as a job since he enjoyed it so much. Bill's laughter would fill the room, his jokes a bit corny, his hugs genuine. He always had a smile and a kind word and never said no to helping others. The world is most certainly a better place because of Bill. He will live on in the many hearts he touched. Bill was predeceased by his wife Judy Weiss Lang, parents Harry and Ione Lang, and brother Louis Charles Lang. Cherishing his memory he leaves his son Brian (Marianne Streb) Lang, daughter Emily (Edward) Ordorica, grandsons Daniel and Andrew Ordorica. He is survived by Barbara Lang, Lisa (Ed) Poston, Jennifer (James Jolliff) Lang, Maggie and Grace Poston. Bill is lovingly survived by Judy's family, Ken (Susan) Weiss, Katrina Weiss and Sally Weiss. He will be missed by his loving companion Kathy Gilley. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Ashland Church, 2350 Starr Ave. Oregon, OH.
