Thomas Edward Couturier Thomas Edward Couturier, age 73 of Millbury, Ohio passed away unexcpectly October 25, 2012 at Orchard Villa. Tom was born January 29, 1939 in Toledo to Clement and Kathleen (Collins) Couturier. Tom served his country with the US Army from 1962-1964 in the reserves until 1968. Tom was with Dohler Jarvis for 30 years, he hated retirement and went to work for Secor Nutrition, Advanced Auto and Allied Baron Security. Tom loved the outdoors especially in the summer when we could go to Maumee Bay. He loved working in the yard and we even won second place in our court. When he was able he could always find a project around the house to work on. You could always find him riding around in his power chair visiting neighbors. He dreaded winter because he knew he would be stuck in the house for months unless we would get a nice day. Tom was a member of Rossford Eagles #2322 serving as a trustee for 3 years and always looked forward to the fish fries or club functions. He was chairperson for 3 years for the jamboree. Tom is survived by his loving wife Ruthann they were married February 13, 1999. They were not only husband and wife but best friends and dance partners. He is also survived by ex-wife Carol Gray. His children Charmaine Cranmore, Kathleen (Bob) Bortles, Jacqueline (Tony) Banks also step-children Michael (Leslie) Flickinger, Lisa Flickinger, Carol (Chad) House. His grandchildren were Carrie, Jay and Lee Reneau, Amanda, and Greg Blankley, William and Tony Couturier and Savannah Banks. Step-grandchildren, Austin Rios, Jason, Kelly and Emily House and Sophia, Hannah, and Jacob Flickinger. He also had 10 great grandchildren, sisters Pat (Don) Keller, Peg McCroy and David Henley, Sandra (Roger) Wolford. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and son William Couturier. Services will be at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home Thursday November 1, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. with services from Rossford Eagles #2322 at 7:00 p.m. Any donations can be made to charities of your choice or St Lucas Lutheran Church.
