Sandra Lee (Cathers) Cutshaw Sandra Lee (Cathers) Cutshaw, 57 of Toledo, Ohio passed away July 26, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her though her courageous struggle with cancer. Sandra (Sam) was born January 15, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio. The daughter of John "Jack" and Dorothy "Dot" (Lange) Cathers. To know her was to love her. She loved her Lord and trusted him completely. She was a baptized member of Crossroads Community Church in Ottawa lake, MI. Her dedication to her faith was evident in everything she did. She was a leader of the ushers and greeters and belonged to bible groups. She was also an active volunteer at the Cherry Street Mission, the Medical Bus supporting people with diabetes, and helping the homeless in Toledo. Her passion was helping the children of Haiti. She recenty traveled to Haiti on a mission trip and had plans to return. Sandra worked for the Pharmacy Counter as diabetic educator for Marty Davis and Promedica. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Calvin "Wade" Cutshaw, son, Rob "Wade" Cutshaw, daughter, Candee (Dan) Williams, grandchildren, Seancy and Aiden, brothers and sisters, Connie (Bob) Alsip, Rodney (Cathy) Cathers, John Cathers, James (Ginny) Cathers, Judy Cathers-Bland, Rose (Glenn) Chambers and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road Tuesday July 29, 2014 3-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Cross Roads Community Church 6960 Sylvania-Petersburg Road Ottawa Lake, MI. A private burial will take place at a later date. The family requests that memorials in Sam's memory are made to Crossroads Community Church.
