Ruth Gjurasin

Ruth E. Gjurasin, 81, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, in the Perrysburg Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a brief illness. She was Born March 22, 1944, in Bowling Green, Ohio, to Chalmer and Ida (Ashman) Cribbs. Ruth grew up in Lorain, Ohio, and attended Avon Lake High School. She was married to Carl Langford until his death in 1967. She married Donald Gjurasin in 1974, and they eventually settled in Toledo, Ohio. They divorced in 2000.

Ruth was a very creative person who loved cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, interior design, reading, and shopping for deals. She was passionate about fashion and could put together a beautiful outfit from the sale rack at any store or design and sew beautiful dresses and outfits for her daughters. She loved taking Sunday drives, just enjoying the surroundings and stopping for ice cream.

She lived through her children and grandchildren's adventures and accomplishments, always wanting to know what everyone was doing. She loved music and dancing, and with her quick wit, she loved making people laugh.

Surviving are her children, Carl (Wendi) Langford, Becky (Matthew) Black, Anthony (Janine) Gjurasin, and Dawn Gjurasin. Grandchildren: Charlee (Craig) Foster, Kayla Lovingood, Nadine (Korey) Pavlika, Zachary Lemke, Madison Lemke, and Hope Hayes. Great grandchildren: Coale and Carson Foster, Alani Sanderfer, and Bryson Pavlika. Brother, David (Betty) Cribbs. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Cribbs.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 5th, beginning at 4pm at the home of Becky Black. The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, any Humane Society, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
