Roy Rush

Roy Rush was born in Detroit Michigan passed away on January 26, 2022. At an early age he joined the Air Force. After returning, he began dating Shirley E Rush, who he later wed and dedicated 53 years of marriage until her passing in 2017. He was a retiree of Seaway Food Town as a butcher. He enjoy traveling with their bowling league, betting and spending time at Raceway Park Racetrack. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, buying them McDonald’s, watching horse races on video and teaching them how to bet. He loved his dog RJ and spent every last moment loving on his grand children and great children.

Roy rush leaves to cherish his memory, his son William Longstreet, granddaughters Isha (Julius) Darrington of California, Latoya (Harry) Williams of Toledo, Stacy Brown of Florida, Karen Hayes of Toledo and 9 great grandchildren amongst a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Thursday February 3, 2022 after 10:00 a.m. where services will be at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. Please view Roy’s condolence page at Berstickerscottfuneralhome.com
