Roderick Thomas

Roderick Thomas 67, of Toledo, Ohio passed away January 8, 2025, at Promedica Toledo Hospital after a brief illness. Born June 7, 1957, in Gadsden, Alabama to Edward Ross and Gertie Mae (Lowe) Thomas with Jack Lowe Jr as Roderick's stepfather. Roderick served in the U.S. Army for a brief time. Roderick was a graduate of the University of Toledo with a Master's in Juris Doctorate Degrees. Roderick has a Bachelor's degree from Wayne State University Bachelor's of Liberal Arts with a Major in History. And Sinclair Community College with a degree of Associate of Applied Science

Mr. Thomas has worked in Tech Support for Lexis Nexus in Dayton Ohio for several years. Roderick was preceded in death by his Parents. Surviving is his wife of 33 years Theresa (Hatley Middlebrooks) Thomas. Daughters, Alexis Thomas-Wilt, and Lena Nicole Thomas, grandchildren, Peter James Wilt, Alexander Wilt, Jasmine Wilt, brothers, Larry (Patsey) Thomas, Sidney (Sabrina) Thomas, Tracy Thomas, sister Cherie Thomas. Brother-in-law William (Angeline) Marshall, Awntuan Middlebrooks, Maternal uncles Lawrence Thompson, Darell Vaughn, good friend Flo. Nieces and nephews Dr. Victoria (Corderyl) and Yvevette, Patrick (Ashley) Zamaria, Samantha, Kristian, Joshua, Jeffrey, Kevin, Susan, Tonya, Lorrie, Jermaine, Ari and Lawrence Thompson Jr, Marshonda and her daughter Shanyysh Vanghn. And lastly Darlene Strickland (Jesse) and her daughter Kim.

Roderick for over 40 years also shared a very close relationship with his best friend Shaw of Inkster Michigan. Whom he loved very much. There will be a going-home celebration for Roderick. Dr. Larry Thomas will arrange the service at his church in Lewisburg Tennessee Faith United Missionary Baptist Church, Columbia TN, and notice will be given.
