Robert L 'Bob' Perry

Robert L Perry Robert L Perry, 94 of Toledo Ohio passed away September 30, 2015 in Swan Creek Health Care Center. Robert was born in Dairytown, Pa., on March 27, 1921 to Ervin J and Anna Marie (Foley) Perry. M r Perry was a graduate of Waite School in 1940 and served in the U.S Army Air Corp during WWII. Robert worked for the Toledo Edison, underground department, for 38 years retiring in 1983. Robert served in Army/Airforce in WW2 at the Galapagos Islands. He loved baseball and was an dedicated Tigers fan. A little league baseball coach to all the neighborhood children, He was a friend to everyone. Robert enjoyed life, burned bacon, coffee at McDonalds, bowling and golf. He loved retirement and family. He was a member of the former Church of the Brethren Church and now a member of Church of St Andrew's United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife Jean Perry, married 67 years. Also survived by children, Judy (David) Silvera, Sandra (Steven) Zaetz, Eileen (Robert) Haworth, son, James (Rhonda) Perry, sister, Eileen M Hutchinson, grandchildren, Erin (Bryan) Burr, Michael (Jiaqi) Zaetz, Doug Haworth, Bryan (Cait) Haworth, Eileen Perry, an great grandson, Login Burr and great granddaughter, Emma Haworth. He was a beloved uncle of Fran, Kathleen, Frank, Marilyn, David and Denny. The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road Friday October 2, 2015 5-8 p.m. a private graveside service will be held at Ottawa Hills. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 1pm at Church of St. Andrews Church.
