Robert James Poad Robert James Poad 97 of Toledo, Ohio passed away January 9, 2012 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo campus. He was born April 30, 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio to Harry and Effie (Kinkaid) Poad. Bob was a veteran of World War II. He served tours of duty in China, Burma and India. He received the Asiatic Pacific Theater ribbon with the Bronze Star, the American Defense Service Ribbon and a Good Conduct Ribbon. Bob worked for The United Postal Service for over 35 years as both a teller and as a data processer. Bob was a longtime bridge player and member at the Maumee Senior Center. Surviving is his wife of 64 years Erthel, daughter, Bobbijean (Rob), Step Son, Henry (Marilyn Jones) Ensley, Step Granddaughter, Therese Francis, Mr. Poad was preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert and James Poad, sisters, Gladys Drouillard, Bernadine Meminger. Bob was truly an amazing man. His peaceful demeanor and his infectious smile made him a true friend to all who ever met or knew him. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him and shared his life. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd on Saturday January 14, 2012 from 2-4 P.M. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M.
