Robert John Huebner Robert John Huebner of Lambertville Michigan, formerly of Toledo, passed away on January 25, 2011 at age 94. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Florence Huebner, grandparents John and Mary Ruhly, and sister in law Miriam Sommers. Bob was a 1934 graduate of Woodward High School, and attended the University the University of Toledo. In 1939, he married his Woodward classmate Lillian Birr (a.k.a Burr). Survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Lillian; daughter Carolyn (Gareth) Greene, of Rochester NY; grandchildren David Scott (Maritza) Shuman of Webster NY and Betsey (Warren) Gawve of Churchville NY; sister Bettylou Lieffers of Grand Rapids MI, Brother Darryl (Sandy) Huebner of Rockford MI and brother in law Howard Sommers of Toledo. Bob worked for 26 years at Electric Autolite Company, and then 20 years at Owens-Illinois. He retired from O-I in 1982 as Chief Metallurgical Engineer. After his retirement he became very actively involved in Masonic work. Bob joined the Masons in 1943. His Masonic activites include: Past Master of Harbor Light Lodge # 746 F. & A.M., Past High Priest of Fort Industry Chapter #208 R.A.M., Past Illustrious Master of Grafton M. Acklin Council # 127 R. & S.M., Member of Fort Meigs Chapter # 29 R.A.M. and Toledo-Port Lawrence Chapter #161 R.A.M. Member of Eu-tah Commandery #66 Knight Templars, Past Patron of Fort Industry Chapter #391 Order of Eastern Star, Member of Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo. Honorary Member of Crystal Chapter #157 R.A.M. and Bowling Green Council #124 R. & S.M. Past President of West Toledo High Twelve Club. Other memberships include Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Toledo Chapter of American Society for Metals (Past Chairman), Technical Society of Toledo, Owens-Illinois Golden Emblem Club, and Adams Conservation Club. Bob will be remembered for his hard work, his sense of humor, and his willingness to serve. The family will receive friends at the Gasiorowski-Hanneman Funeral 1757 Tremainsville Rd on Thursday January 27, 2011 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. with Harbor Light Masonic services held at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday January 28 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will be held in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial tributes to Lutheran Church of Our Savior (2820 W. Alexis Rd) or Erie West Hospice (3333 Sterns Rd., Lambertville, MI 48144). The family wishes to thank the staffs of Aspen Grove assisted Living Resident and Erie West Hospice for the Loving care and concern offered to Bob.
