Richard Douglas 'Doug' Gregory

Richard "Doug" Gregory Richard "Doug" Gregory, 84 of Toledo, Ohio passed away May 4, 2014 in Akron City Hospital Akron, Ohio. Doug was born on August 1, 1929 in Elkton, KY, son of the late Roy and Alma Mae (Thompson) Gregory. Mr. Gregory was a successful Real Estate Broker and Insurance Salesman for a number of years. He was a skilled musician, led a bluegrass band, and made many recordings of his music. Doug was involved in A.A. and was an avid motorcyclist, boater and a longtime member of South Toledo Baptist Church. Doug was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Alma Mae and 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Surviving are his wife of 63 years Helen E. (Wagner) Gregory, daughters, Vickie Lynn (Gary) Weber of Oregon, Ellen Sue (Michael) Peek of Ohio, grandchildren, Teresa Ann Peek, Michelle Lynn (Peek) Zuniga, Matthew Michael Peek, Brenda Lee Cook. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road on Wednesday May 7, 2014 after 12:00 Noon where service will held at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow in Riverside cemetery in Maumee, Ohio. In lieu of flowers monetary donations are requested to be made to Workers for Mexico Mission, PO Box 400, Grayson, KY, 41143 in support of the deaf ministry.
