Diefenbach Jr, 82 of Toledo, Ohio passed away November 20, 2012 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Perrysburg). Ralph was born on July 19, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio to Ralph O. and Mae M. (Welty) Diefenbach. Ralph served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War receiving a purple heart. Ralph Retired from the Toledo Police Department in 1976 after 17 years of service due to a disability. Ralph was a member of Barton Smith Lodge # 613 F & A.M., Fort Meigs Chapter # 29, Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, Knight Templar Commandry #059 Toledo Council #33, Fraternal Order of Police Toledo Lodge # 40, American Legion Post #512, Korean War Veterans Association Chapter # 131, and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen Diefenbach, parents, great grandson, Bradley Lairson, brothers, Donald and Charles Diefenbach, sister, Marian Haney. Surviving is his son, Richard A. (Carol) Diefenbach, daughter, Linda Narges, step-daughters, Melinda (Robert) Feiklowicz, Marsha Wilkinson, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd Friday November 23, 2012 from 2-9 P.M. with Barton Smith Masonic Lodge #613, Korean War Veterans, Fraternal Order of Police services starting at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church 4441 Monroe St on Saturday November 24, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
