Melba J. Gipson Melba J. Gipson, age 73 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Monday March 28, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Melba was preceded in death by her mother and father Charles and Helen Stambaugh and 11 brothers and sisters being the youngest of 12. Surviving are her children, Frank (Tracee) Martinez, David (Michelle) Martinez, Raymond (Kim) Martinez, Becky (Robert S.) Martinez, Pamela (Michael J.) Akers, Brian (Kelly) Martinez, grandchildren, Marissa, Frank III, Damien, Justin, David II, Misty, Judy, Lucas, Raymond Jr., Holly Rae, Tekoa, Nathen, John Pina Jr., Angela Pina, Julian Pina, Nichole Reed, Johnathan, Katelyn, Emma, Esteven, great grandchildren, Layla, Mia, David III, Ava, Noah, Trinidad, Issac, Isabella, Xaiver, and Noah. Melba retired from being a nurses aid after 25 years. She was born in St. Louis Missouri and moved to Toledo when she was 17, at the age of 19 she married her first true love Frank Martinez who passed away March of 2002. She is also survived by long life time friend Connie Carrillo and her good friend Ruth Goodman. We will miss you dearly mom you walk with God and play with the Angels. A memorial service will be held at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd on Saturday April 2, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. where the family will receive friends after 12:00 Noon.
