Max Konrad

Max Konrad, age 97, of Toledo, Ohio, passed awayThursday, July 1, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Born on October 11, 1912 in Gottesdorf, Germany to Anna and Frantz Konrad. Max moved to Toledo in 1929 and began a career as a Custom Tailor. He became a US Citizen in 1938. Max was a fan of classical music and loved to travel, especially back to his homeland, a journey he took many times. Max treasured time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband and cherished by his beloved wife of 59 years, Florence (Schroeder) Konrad, whom he married October 30, 1941 in Glandorf, Ohio. Max is survived by his two children, Ronald Konrad of Delaware, Ohio and William (Jill) Konrad, Toledo, Ohio; grandchildren, Ryan (Heather) Konrad, Nathan (Lindsey) Konrad, Natalie Konrad, Christine (Ed) Stahleker and Casey Konrad; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Chase, Carson Konrad, Konrad Stahleker. Max was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Friends may call at the Bersticker Scott Funeral Home Tuesday 6, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. where funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday July 7, followed by the mass of Christian burial in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
