Mary Magdaline Zeiter

Mary Magdalene Zeiter, age 81, passed away peacefully on October 30,2017 at home. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 30,1935 too Edgar Henning & Opal (Welch) Jaeck. Mary was a retired school bus driver for handicapped in the Maumee School system. Mary choose a line of work that enabled her to be of service to those in most need of help! Mary proved to be very musical throughout her life. She had taken singing, dancing (tap, swing and jazz) lessons, along with piano and piano accordion lessons at a young age. She loved singing and dancing and performing both on and off stage throughout her life, starting in her teen years. She continued on into her late seventy's playing and singing, from what I saw, she never shied away from an opportunity to sing and play her piano accordion, piano or her organ singing, she would love to sing while playing, she had a pleasant singing voice. Mary was very well received by those they heard her sing and play. Very often she found herself to be the life of the party when she performed! In her teens she performed singing and dancing together with her friend Richard Schroeder, as it turned out Richard Schroeder ended up being our choir music teacher at Jones Junior High for most of Mary's children. She also would sing and playing at gathering at the Twin Acres Campground, and the Eagles and at the Rehabilitation Center in Swanton Ohio. At times she would be a microphone hog not wanting to give up the mic! We are Happy in knowing that her singing and entertaining has brought her great joy and for friends and family as well! I remember her singing with her grandchildren and great-grand children that were able to spend time with her in her home! Mom looked for ways draw people to come to her home, on Holiday! She also had organized a monthly Bunco game group with her women friends of half century since she was 30 year's old. Mary loved food but more importantly, she could cook like nobody's business! She will always be remembered for her Beef and homemade noodles, and her ox tail soup, and from scratch Spaghetti sauce, lasagna, to baked goods, drinks and so much more! People loved visiting her home, because you were always sure to get something good to eat at her house! Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Mary's companion of 35+yrs, Doral Schwartz; her son Robert Williamson; brothers Ed Henning, Terry Henning, Larry Henning; her sister Edith (Henning)Irwin; and her granddaughter Shannon Horna. Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons Thomas (Donna) Williamson, John (Terri)Klinger, Scott Klinger, Roger Zeiter; her daughters Terri (Klinger)-Horna, Linda Klinger, Glenda Klinger, Christi (Vance) Klinger Campbell; her sisters June Henning, Jean(Henning) Miller; brothers Robert (Linda) Wiemer, Tom Wiemer, David Jaeck; her grandchildren Michael and Megan Williamson, Brian Klinger, Kimberly, Aaron and Joshua Horna, Christopher Johnson, Bobby & Scott Bork, Christy & Mitchell Lewandowski and Jessy Klinger, Douglas and Sarah Prothero, Gage, McKayla, Rylie and Caden Campbell and 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins!
