Mary Lewise Pohlman

Mary Lewise Pohlman Mary Lewise Pohlman, 72, Waterville, passed peacefully, Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in St. Luke's hospital. Mary was born November 13, 1937 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Lewis C. and Mary E. Hoar. Mary graduated from Woodward High School in 1956. She attended Owens Community College. She married Edward L. Pohlman, June 22, 1956. Mary worked as a payroll clerk or supervisor for Wayne Graphics, Inc., Toledo Steel Tube, Craftmaster Corp., and The Andersons. Mary loved the Lord with all her heart, all her mind and all her soul. We deeply mourn her passing, yet we also rejoice that God granted her His most important gift to be in the presence of Jesus. Her faith as well as her life are both causes for celebration. Mary was a trusting wife, and encouraging mother, a nurturing grandmother, a sweet sister, as well as a true friend. The world is a much better place because of her. And to those, whose paths crossed hers. Mary enjoyed the simple things in life. Her family meant the most to her. So, too, were things like loving smiles, pink and white roses, reading Scriptures in Our Daily Bread, Magazines, and sweet music. Mom also enjoyed life's little pleasures, the ducks and geese that would swim in the backyard pond, her cat, Buddy, eating out, family gatherings, and love. Mary's loving family includes her husband of 53years, Ed, her children, Eddie, Cindy (John) Knapp, Jim (Jackie), and Kim; her grandchildren, Taylor Knapp and Kaitlin Pohlman. Mary's siblings who survived including in laws, Wilma (Jack) Kaslly, Phoenix, Az; Naomi Sommers; and Richard (Shirley) Orr, Jacksonville, Fl; Barbara Hoar; John (lennore) Pohlman; Evonne (Gary) McGee, Cocoa Beach, Fl. Mary's family and in- laws who preceded her home going includes; parents, Lewis and Mary Hoar; Lowell and Rose Pohlman; brother, Allan Hoar; in laws Don and Carol (Pohlman) Campbell and Larry Sommers. Mary's dearest friend for nearly 25 years, Carole Passmore who also preceded her. Arrangements have been made through Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home. Visitors may pay their respects Sunday, March 14, 2010 between 2 and 8 P.M. A celebration service will be Monday March 15, 2010 at 11 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1825 Glendale Ave. Toledo, Ohio with a Luncheon to follow after the service. The family kindly requests memorials be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Toledo. Where Ed and Mary have been members since 1966. One of Mary's favorite Bible verses is the 23rd Psalm. "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me besides quiet waters, he restores my soul. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; …Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Loving beautiful, wife mother, grandmother, sister and friend We shall miss you most dearly. Thank you for touching our lives in your own special way. We shall miss your presence, but we will always cherish you memories.
