Mary Elizabeth Kamper Mary Elizabeth Kamper, 70 of Oak Harbor, Ohio passed away September 20, 2012 in the Parkcliffe Community at Wright-Harvey House Northwood, Ohio. Mary was born in Toledo, Ohio to William A. and Mildred F. (Potter) Ganss on June 17, 1942. Mary graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor's degree in Education and worked for several years as an educator spending most of her career in the Washington Local Schools as a special education teacher. Mary had a kind heart and always thought of others before herself. Her bright smile and free spirited personality were unique attributes that will be missed by those who knew her. Mary loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed living on the water where she and her husband Ted often took long boat rides exploring Lake Erie and fishing for perch and walleye. Mary had many wonderful friends with whom she shared many laughs while enjoying activities such as bowling and playing cards. Also an avid book collector, Mary enjoyed studying authors and hunting for the next treasured book. Surviving is her husband of 46 years Ted, daughter, Terri (Kamper) Brough, son, Scott (Shelia) Kamper, grandchildren, Shawna, Serena, Leanne, Holly, Laura, and Henry. Private services were held at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd. Burial took place in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
