Mark Thomas Mcfarland

Mark Thomas McFarland, 58, Toledo, passed into the arms of the Lord Friday, August 5, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio following a brief battle with cancer. Mark was born on April 2, 1958 in Toledo, Ohio to George T. and Nina R. (Turner) McFarland Jr. A graduate of both Libbey High School and Owens Technical College, Mark served 4 ½ years in the U. S. Air Force obtaining the rank of Sgt. Mark worked in Waste Water Management in the cities of Elkhart and Kendallville, IN, then as a supervisor for the City of Toledo Department of Public Utilities in Waste Water Management. Mark was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his loving wife Lynn Thurston; half-sisters Carol (Keith) Hart and Colleen Barrett both of Kendallville, IN; half-brother Patrick (Linda) Barrett, Charlotte, NC; step-daughter Paige Thurston; step-granddaughter Jadyn Netry; and two nieces and four nephews. Graveside service will be at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St, Sylvania, OH, Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 800 S. Detroit Ave, Toledo.
