Marilyn E Hixson

On Sunday, December 20, Marilyn E. Hixson, beloved mother of three, passed away suddenly in her home at the age of 84. Marilyn was born on July 5, 1936 in Akron, OH to Ralph and Helen (Herr) Martin. She earned a bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from the University of Akron in 1959. She worked as a Medical Technician for Toledo-area hospitals until her retirement several years ago.

Marilyn is survived by her son David (Denise) of Batavia, IL, daughter Linda Cassidy (Martin) of Maumee, OH and son Rob (Jane) of Orange Park, FL, and her two sisters, Marjorie Martin of Anacortes, WA and Nancy Beal of Waterville, OH. Marilyn was especially proud of her three cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, and Ryan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her close friend of many years, Earl Wolfe.

Marilyn loved vacationing with her children and grandchildren, gardening, and going on walks. Marilyn was also an avid reader, a movie lover, and going out to dinner connoisseur. She will be missed by all who knew her.
