Marie M. Eckard

Marie M. Eckard Marie M. Eckard, age 75 of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday December 29, 2010 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Marie was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 15, 1935 to Joseph and Minnie (Garafola) Basta. Marie worked as cook for the Los Amigos Family Restaurant for a number of years. Marie was an avid bowler and loved playing Bingo. Surviving are her son, Lewis (Margie) Eckard, daughters, Donna Law, Carol Lewis, Barbara Braden, Tina Millhoan, sisters, Gloria Lee, Deloris, Curto, Josephine Roberts, Brothers, Louie Basta, Nicholas Basta, Jimmy Basta, Albert Basta, 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her good friend and former husband Melvin Eckard. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Winemeg Cemetery in Delta, Ohio.
