Marie Elizabeth Bender

Marie E. "Wagner" Bender Marie E. "Wagner" Bender age 85 of Toledo, Ohio passed away December 1, 2013. Born June 5, 1928 in Oregon Twp., Ohio to Ray and Elizabeth (Soufflé) Wagner. Mrs. Bender was a graduate of Montgomery High School in Wayne, Ohio and Attended the University Of Toledo School Of Nursing. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Most recently Mrs. Bender was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed Teaching Sunday School for 27 years at St. Mark's Lutheran Church and Bethel Lutheran Church. Marie was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth N. Bender. Surviving is her husband of 65yrs Kenneth R. Bender, son, Thomas (Kathie) Bender, Daughter, Janice (Richard) Bender-Benner, grandchildren, Abigail Bender, Callie Bender, Lindsey Benner, Jacob Benner. Brother, Wallace (Mary Jo) Wagner, sister, Raydean Dean The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd on Thursday December 5, 2013 2-6 P.M. where services will be held Friday December 6, at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery Wayne, Ohio. The family suggests memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, Alzheimer's Association, and Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to the Charity of the donor's choice.
