Larry T. Vernon

Larry T. Vernon, 77 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Sunday October 3, 2021 in his daughters residence, surrounded by loved ones, after a brief illness. Born December 28, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio to Henry and Ruth (Lamb) Vernon. Larry attended Robert S. Rogers High School and served in the US Army. Larry worked as a long-haul driver eventually retiring from consolidated freight.

Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Lord, parents, brothers, Don, Butch, and Bob, and his brother-in-law, Jim Bateson. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Pamela (Cisterino) Vernon, Daughters, Jodi (Christopher) Sweatt and Danielle (Oliver) Hajdu, sons, Larry Vernon Jr and Patrick Vernon, sisters, Ruth Ann Bateson, Darla (Kenneth) Slusher, and Karen (Bob) Gardner, brother, William (Linda)Vernon, son in law Jeffery Lord, many nieces and nephews, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, as well as 1 great-great grandchild.


The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road Saturday October 9, 2021, after 10:00 a.m. where a memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon. A Private interment will take place at a later date. The family will be hosting a luncheon after the service at the Springfield Township Hall at 7617 Angola Rd.
