Kathy J Billington

Kathy Jeanne (Worcester) Billington, 58, of Toledo passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, April 7, 2010, after a long valiant 10 year battle with cancer. Kathy was born May 22, 1951 in Oberlin, Ohio to Otis and Mary (Maroney) Worcester, she graduated from Oberlin High School in 1969 and worked primarily in the childcare field. She married James G. Billington in 1969 and he predeceased her in 1991. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, which were the world to her, amusement parks, camping, bowling, gardening, yard work, photography and was an active member of Park Congregational Church U.C.C. Mrs. Billington is survived by daughter Lori Kedrie; son Brian (Christi); grandchildren Morgan Kedrie, Kevin, J.J. and Lee Billington and very close friend Sharon Cheatham. She is also survived by sisters Lois (Pam) West, Huron, Ohio and Beth (Robert) Hawley, Indianapolis, IN; brothers Richard (Linda) Worcester of Amhurst, Ohio and Roger (Anita) Worcester, Elyria, Ohio, many nieces and nephews and father-in-law Herbert (Bill) Billington. Along with her husband Jim, she was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Jean (1970), her parents Otis and Mary Worcester, sister Joan Worcester Goodenow (1998), mother-in-law Joan Billington (2006) and granddaughter Amber (2009). The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for fulfilling Kathy's wishes to do things her way. Also, thank you to Dr. Rolland Skeel and everyone that has been so helpful through this difficult time. The family will receive guests Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns at Byrne Rd. Toledo, Ohio. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Park Congregational Church U.C.C., 1456 Harvard Blvd., Toledo, Ohio.
