Katherine Cook

Katherine St. Clair Cook Katherine Cook age 89 of South Toledo took the stairway to heaven on September 26, 2013. Katherine was born on October 16, 1923 to Howard and Cecile (Rogers) St. Clair, Lenix. Both are deceased. She married Donald F. Cook on September 3, 1943, in Dothan Alabama. Don passed away on September 15, 1984. Both were 1947 Libby High School graduates. They both were active on the reunion committee. They enjoyed going to LosVages and later Windsor, with her friend Marilyn (Bilow) Hansen, who is now deceased. She worked for 45 years in the voting booth, 15m. A homemaker all her life. She enjoyed crocheting baby bibs and jackets for her grandchildren. She played bingo, and was a Yankees fan. She and her late husband were members of St.Petri Lutheran Church since 1958. Survivors include, Nancy Cook, daughter, who was her care giver since 2009. Grandchildren, Roxanne (Craig) Tilby, of Toledo, Stephen Schaefer, Maumee, Robert D. (Sandy) Winterhalter, Riga, Michigan, Stephanie (Schaefer) (Bryan Bowers) Maumee, Warren (Angie) Winterhalter, Maumee, Nicklas (Monica) Cook of Perrysburg. Great grandchildren, Kristin and Eric Tilby, Alexa Schefer, Jaxson BowesJessica and Branden Winterhalter, Jonak, Jordan and Josiah Cook. Katherine was preceded in death by her daughters, Connie Winterhalter, April 27, 2001, Dianna Schaefer February 20, 2012. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd Sunday September 29, 2013 4-8 P.M. were services will be held at 10:00 Monday September 30, 2013.
