Joseph V. 'Joey' Thomas

In Loving Memory of Joseph V. Thomas Sunrise September 27, 1981 - Sunset June 10, 2016 Joseph V. Thomas, known to his family and friends as "Joey". Joey was a very loving, outspoken, and not to forget strong willed opinionated person. He loved and cherished his baby brother JoJuan and his nieces; Madisyn, Makinzye, and Journey Thomas. They were his little angels on earth. He also loved his two furry friends "Yoda" and "Meshack". Joey enjoyed spending time with his many family and friends. Joey accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He was a lifelong member of First Church of God under the direction of Bishop Robert A. Culp Senior Pastor. Joey attended Jesup W. Scott High school and he received his High School diploma from Life Skills Academy in Toledo, Ohio. Joey was a Night Auditor at Hilton Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio until his health began to fail. On June 10, 2016 at Ebeid Hospice Residence Center in Sylvania, Ohio, Joey left this earth to be with his loving mother Ms. Joette Thomas and his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Arletha Thomas . He leaves to mourn his passing his brothers Jojuan Thomas and Owen Moore III. Nieces: Madisyn, Makinzye, and Journey Thomas and one nephew JoJuan Thomas II. Godmother Cassandra (Ronald) Barnhill Sr., God sister DeAnna (Keion) Devalt, Special cousins Yvette Perry and Debbie Shields and the whole Cincinnati family. His family friend and spiritual advisor Sis. Mary Maddox. A special thanks to the nursing staff at Ebeid Hospice especially nurse Chris and the nursing staff at Flower Hospital 4th floor. Don't Cry for Me Don't cry for me, I will be okay. Heaven is my new home now, and this is where I'll stay. Don't cry for me, I'm where I belong. I want you to be happy and try to stay strong. Don't cry for me, It was just my time. But I will see you someday on the other side. Don't cry for me, I am not alone. The angels are with me to welcome me home. Don't cry for me, for I have no fear. All of my pain is gone, and Jesus took my tears. Don't cry for me, this is not the end. I'll be waiting here for you, when we met again.
