John C ''Jack'' Scarlett

John C. Scarlett passed away September 12, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. The son of John and Alice Scarlett, he was born in Toledo on December 28, 1925. He graduated from the Universtiy of Toledo College of Engineering in 1950. He was employed for 20 years by Surface Combustion and for 15 years as an engineer-consultant by Midrex Corporation of Charlotte, NC. He was a life-long member of Pilgrim Congregational Church, and served it in many capacities. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. Scarlett. Also surviving are their children Susan (Jef) Chaplin, Robert (Christine) Scarlett, and Katherine (Matt) Edinger, eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and niece, Marilyn (Robert) Williams and her family. There will be no visitation and internment will be private. A memorial service will be announced later. Tributes may be made to the Gifts and Memorials Fund of Pilgrim Church. In his honor, be kind to someone and take a walk in a Metropark. Arrangements were entrusted to Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home.
