James R. Lanz, 80 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday June 8, 2022, in Ebeid Hospice. Born December 18, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio to Walter and Mildred (Fisher) Lanz. James was a driver for the former Odland Iron Works for 29 years. James married his “Best Friend” Nancy Baise in 1978. James enjoyed puzzles, fishing, taking rides, walks in the park, dancing, music, movies, traveling and playing with his dog Abby.

James was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David, and Walter Jr, and in laws Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Baise.

Surviving is his beloved wife Nancy, brother, Charles Lanz, sisters-in-law, Sharon Lanz, Barbara Lanz, also surviving are numerous nephews and nieces and special cousins-in-laws, Linda Walter, Don Basler and Tom and Jan Rockwell. “James will be greatly missed”

The family will receive friends and relatives at Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road on Monday June 13, 2022, after 11:00 a.m. where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Toledo Memorial Park cemetery.
