James F 'Jim' Schaller

On his 28,577th day of life (March 4), Jim Schaller passed away at Perrysburg Commons. On that day, Ohio State Football lost one of their greatest fans. He was a graduate of Woodward, served in the U.S. Marines (55-58), and worked at AP Parts from 1959-1998. In 1976 he married Debbie (Weills) and celebrated 40 years of marriage in January. They had four children James (Janelle), Matthew, Jennifer, and Sara (Doug) Small. Jim is survived by his wife, children - James, Jennifer, and Sara, 3 grandchildren - Alyssa Ellis, James and Josie Schaller, Sisters - Susie (Don) Hardy, Dorothy (Ron) Williams, and many nieces and nephews. Matthew preceded him in death in 2006. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, March 13, from 1:00-5:00 at Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns. Burial will be private. Family requests memorials to Heartland Hospice, or Pregnancy Center of Greater Toledo. Jim's family would like to thank the staff of Perrysburg Commons and Heartland Hospice for the loving care Jim received, especially from his aide, Michelle.
