Gregory A Mchugh Sr.

Gregory A. McHugh, Sr. Gregory A McHugh, Sr., 66, of South Toledo, passed away August 14, 2013. Greg was born February 25, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Allen (Pat) and Alice McHugh. He graduated from Bowsher High School in 1965 and attended the University of Toledo. Greg was employed with St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in the maintenance department for 33 years, retiring in 1997. Greg loved playing sports especially golf, tennis, softball and the sport love of his life, hockey, which he played for 25 years. He loved coaching his sons' Maumee Little League baseball and Sylvania Youth hockey teams. He fulfilled his life-long dream in 1996 and 1997 when he had leads in two community theater musical plays. He is survived by his loving wife Molly, sons Greg (Tracy) McHugh, step granddaughter, Morgan Howell, all of Highlands Ranch, CO; Ryan (Kim) McHugh, grandson, Connor; step grandsons Kyle and Nick Cochrun, all of Stow, OH; brother Jim (Judy) of Carefree, AZ; sister Mary Ann (Tom) Cotner of Phoenix, AZ, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Greg will be sadly missed by his dogs Gunnar and Max. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19th from 4-6pm at Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to Maumee Little League, Sylvania Metro Amateur Hockey League, Toledo Humane Shelter or Mercy College of Ohio.
