George Charles Wollenweber George Charles Wollenweber, 92 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Friday June 15, 2012 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. George was born on December 18, 1919 in Toledo, Ohio to Paul and Mathilda (Hege) Wollenweber. Mr. Wollenweber graduate at the age of 16 from the former vocational school where the main Library sit's in downtown Toledo. Mr. Wollenweber was a Navy veteran of WWII. Mr. Wollenweber was the former owner and president of Dugan Tool & Die for 18 years; previously he was shop foreman of Crest Engineering. George was the founding member of the former Arlington Ave Lutheran Church now known as Hosanna Lutheran Church Maumee, Ohio where he served as financial secretary for 60 years. Mr. Wollenweber held a private pilots license form many years and also owned a boat, he also enjoyed golfing and was Mr. fixed it for many things. Surviving is his wife of 70 years Ardis, daughters, Carol (William) Knoblauch, Nancy Sheets, Janet (Ted) Wymyslo, grandchildren, Brian (Kate) Knoblauch, Amanda (Justin) Ballard, Joanna Wymyslo, Bev (Dan) Breyman, great-grandchildren, Gavin, Abigail, Lyla Mae Ballard, sister Ruth (Bob) Cowley. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd. on Monday June 18, 2012 3-8 P.M. where services will be held on Tuesday June 19, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Scott Mosher officiating. Interment will take place in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Hosanna Lutheran Church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
