Flossie A Dedes, 90, formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away September 6, 2015, in Heartland of Perrysburg. Ms. Dedes was born on January 29, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio to Alex D. and Christina (Katsakos) Dedes. Flossie was a graduate of Whitney Vocational School. Flossie earned a degree in men's tailoring in Athens, Greece and taught night school at Whitney Vocational School. She was the former owner of Flossie Monogramming Center for several years on Jefferson Ave. Flossie also worked as a clerk at the former downtown Lion Store. Flossie was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, a 60 year member of the Toledo Chapter O.E.S., formerly the Stella Chapter, and was a National officer in the Greek American Progressive Association, and also a member of the Holy Trinity Philoptochos Society. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pauline A Dedes; and half-brother, James Dedes. Surviving are her brothers, Sam A. Dedes, George A. (Mary) Dedes, and Samuel A. Dedes; also surviving are nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-cott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. at Bryne Road Wednesday, September 9, 2015, 4:00-8:00 p.m. with Trisagion services held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services well be held Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 740 N Superior Street. Toledo Chapter O.E.S. will hold a service in the Narthex of the church at 10:30 a.m. A private interment will take place on Friday in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
