Eloise H. Yunker Eloise H. (Onweller) Yunker, age 95, passed away April 16, 2015 at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence C. Yunker, her sister Janeva (Bennett) Stecker and her granddaughters Tracey and Holly Yunker. Eloise lived all her life in South Toledo before moving to Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek in 2002. She and Larry were married in 1941. Both were founding members of Bethel Lutheran Church, where she co-directed the Cherub Choir and was a long-time member of the Senior Choir. She did modeling work for the Lion Store, and worked for many years in marketing research. She was a 25-year member of the St. Luke's Auxiliary, and did volunteer work for Mobile Meals and for the local chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Surviving are her sons, Gary (Tricia) and Bruce (Kristi Polus) Yunker, grandsons Matt Yunker and Andrew Yunker, and step-sister Carol Sue (Jim) Gleason. Private graveside services will be held in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek for all the ways they made Eloise's last years the best they could be, and the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their compassionate care during Eloise's final weeks. The family suggests any memorials be given to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Bethel Lutheran Church.
