Earl Allen Laishley "Earl The Pearl" Earl Allen Laishley, age 81 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Sunday October 24, 2010 in his residence. Earl was born on August 27, 1929 in Kinsman, Ohio, to Dr. Julian and Mary (Cratsley) Laishley. Mr. Laishley was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Earl was a 1947 graduate of Libbey High School and attended The Ohio State University and The University Of Toledo. An avid Ohio State Fan, he took his children and grandchildren to a number of football games over the years. Earl also loved to spend time at the family cottage at Crystal Lake with his friends and family, especially his high school buddy "Rich". He also enjoyed golfing and playing cards. He enjoyed many evenings of pinochle with friends Pat and Dick. Mr. Laishley was a former member of the Barton Smith Masonic Lodge and the Zenobia Shrine. Earl was a manager for the former People Savings Bank and Ponderosa Restaurants Inc. Mr. Laishley was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dr. C.R. Laishley, and son in law Mark McHugh. Surviving is his wife of 57 years Mona Dee (Courtad) Laishley, daughters, Patricia McHugh, Debra (Bill) Irving, Julie (Bruce) Link, Grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff) Hunter, Shawn McHugh, Jaclyn (Todd) Keith, Will Irving, Paul (Amanda) Irving, Great Grandchildren, Chase and Noah Hunter, Emma Keith. A Celebration of Life Gathering for Earl will be held on Friday October 29, 2010 at the Heatherdowns Country Club 3910 Heatherdowns Blvd. from 4-9 P.M.
