Dorothy Mae Gilbert Dorothy Mae Gilbert, age 82 of South Toledo passed away Tuesday November 30, 2010 in the University of Toledo Medical Center Hospital. Dorothy was born on December 17, 1927 in Toledo Ohio to Clarence and Mayno (Perkins) Smith. Dorothy worked for the Toledo Board of Education for 20 years. Dorothy was an avid tennis player at Laurel Hills Swim and Tennis Club and Heatherdowns country club, and also enjoyed playing golf for the past three years. Dorothy was also a member of Park Church and was also a 1946 graduate of Libbey High School. Dorothy was a loving wife and mother and a good person to her husband of 62 years E. Tracy Gilbert, sons, Gregg and Grant Gilbert, brother and sister laws Homer (Nancy) Gilbert, and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd. Thursday December 2, 2010 5-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held Friday December 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. A private burial will be held in South Swanton Cemetery.
