Doris Mae Schwartz passed peacefully on April 1, 2017 on her 92nd birthday. Doris was born on April 1, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio to Arthur and Margaret (Jones) Pier. Her greatest accomplishment was her seven children. She worked for Ohio Bell, Valley Farms/Foodtown and Prestolite Auto Parts. Her faith propelled her to participate in several volunteer endeavors. Doris enjoyed dancing, golf, reading and playing cards. Her sense of style, humor and smile will be missed. What a party girl! Preceding her in death were her brother Robert Pier; granddaughter, Alison Trudel; grandson Jack Piecz; and great-granddaughters, Samantha Laube, and Madeline Trudel. Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband, David Schwartz; daughters, Sandra (Roy) Weilant, Patricia (Michael) Leahy, Lisa (Mark) Tippey, Christina Beyer, and Jenetha (Tony) Piecz; sons, Gregory (Barb) Beyer, and Christopher (Jackie) Beyer; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; step-sons, Mark Schwartz, Jeff Schwartz, Terry (Gretchen) Schwartz; step-daughter Jennifer (Roger) Thomas; and 7 step-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Sally (Robert) Deshetler. Family will receive guests on April 5, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd, where a service is scheduled for April 6, 2017 at 11:00 am. Rev. Matt Lash, from Community of Christ Lutheran Church in Whitehouse, will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Doris.
