Dolores Jean Bokich Dolores Jean Bokich of Toledo, Ohio died peacefully, at the age of 82, after a long battle with COPD. Dolores was born in Rossville, Illinois to Floyd and M. Maxine Scarlett on March 9, 1931 and died on October 25, 2013. Dolores was preceded in death by her son and daughter, Bret and Lisa Bokich. She is survived by her sons, Robert, Chad Bokich and his wife Debra; daughters, Dara Morgenstern and her husband Dan, Amy Bokich; and grandchildren, Sara Bokich, Jacob Parsons, Jesse Parsons, and Katlyn Johnson, Elliott and Zach Morgenstern Dolores worked her whole life to support, almost single-handedly, the children and grandchildren she loved so dearly. She always put them and others before herself. She retired from SSOE, a Toledo engineering firm, after working there for many years. Dolores was loved by everyone she met. Her caring, loving, and nurturing heart was apparent to anyone she came in contact with. The many friends of the children and grandchildren always referred to her as Mom and Grandma. As with her children and grandchildren, there wasn't anything they wouldn't have done for her. She always saw the good in people. She would help all of us when we needed it, talk to us when our spirits needed lifting, and everyone who knew her, knew they had a friend for life. She was happiest helping others, and did without many times to make sure the ones she loved were well taken care of. Although small in stature, she was big in heart, and she loved deeply. Dolores will forever be in our hearts and remembered fondly for the wonderful, gentle woman she was. There will be no viewing or services for Dolores.
