Dennis J. Garn Dennis J. Garn, 65 of Toledo, Ohio passed away August 7, 2012 in the University of Toledo Medical Center. Dennis was born on May 29, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph and Alvira (Schmidt) Garn. Dennis was a graduate of Rogers High School and served in the US Air Force. Dennis worked for Dresch Laboratories as courier, and previously worked Pilkington Glass. Dennis enjoyed fishing and biking. Dennis was preceded in death by his son, Dennis M. Garn, and his parents, Joseph and Alvira Garn. Surviving is his wife Cathy, Daughter, Kimberly Fischer, Brother, Jim Garn, Sister, Kathy Turner, Granddaughter, Kathlyne Fischer, also surviving are a niece and nephews and his favorite animals Joey, Puggles, Josi. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd on Friday August, 10, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. where services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday Augusts 11, 2012. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor's choice.
