Daniel Torres

Our beloved Daniel Torres, 61, of Toledo, Ohio went home to be with our
Lord on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Daniel was born December 15, 1960, to Robert
and Leonor (Ruiz) Torres in Toledo, Ohio. Daniel was a bright shining light and
always a joy to be around, he was a great dancer and enjoyed listening to music
and reading the Bible. While growing up he attended school in South Toledo and
spent his professional career as a Caregiver.
Daniel enjoyed working out and jogging, however, his primary focus of life
was his family and sharing the glory of God. Daniel’s motivation and inspiration
encouraged his loved ones to reach higher standards. Daniel was preceded in death
by his daughter, Reyna Torres and his long-time life companion Cleotilde Reyna.
Also, preceding him in death were his parents, his sisters Dolores Navarro,
Virginia Vargas, Emma DeLuca, Juanita Reyna and his brothers Robert, Richard, Alfred, Tony,
and Jose Torres. Surviving are his daughters, Mary (Juan) Montano, Danella
Torres, Sarah (Mario) Contreras, Christina (Joaquin) Muniz, and Josephine Torres.
Also, surviving is his sister, Mary (Antonio) Vallejo and brothers, Rudy, Jacob,
Carlos (Theresa), Samuel, Jesse (Colleen) Torres, also surviving are his 18 grandchildren, and
8 great-grandchildren.
Daniel’s love of God, music, and dance will live on through his many family
and friends. Daniel was a well-respected man. We are grateful and blessed to have
had him with us. We will forever love and cherish his memory.
The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home at 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio will
receive family and friends on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 10:30 am, afterwards
interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg, Ohio. In lieu of flowers
the family suggests memorials be sent to Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home.
