Daniel Robert Walch, age 65 of Toledo, Ohio passed away December 24, 2017 in his residence. Daniel was born on March 11, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Catherine Margaret (Westhorn) Walch. Daniel received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology and Master of Science (M.S.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo. Daniel was President of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers from 2000-2001 and was recognized as Engineer of the Year in 2006 by the Technical Society of Toledo. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Toledo College of Engineering. He was a member of the University of Toledo Alumni Association, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Sons of the American Legion and was a Cubmaster in the Boy Scouts of America. Daniel worked for OC, SSOE, U.S. Ecology, and Monroe Environmental Services, until he opened his own engineering firm, Industrial Environmental Solutions, LLC.. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and grandson. Surviving are his daughters, Adrienne (John) Butler, Emily (Kyle) Munroe, sons, Bradley (Suzanna) Walch, Alex (Kelly) Walch, sister, Shirley (Tom) Belcher, four grandchildren and former wife, Kathryn (Semetko) Walch. The family will receive friends after 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. at Byrne Rd. where funeral services will be held at 12 noon.
