Charles Edward 'Bud' Miller

Charles Edward "Bud" Miller Charles Edward "Bud" Miller, age 81 of Toledo, Ohio passed away quietly in his sleep on Thursday January 20, 2011. Bud was born on April 22, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio to Edward and Helen (Bishop) Miller. Bud was a graduate of the former DeVilbiss High School and attended the Stautzenberger College. He was a longtime member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, the Maumee Elk's Club No. 1850, Valleywood Golf Club and for many years inspired and coached young people as a CYO coach. He was an avid sports spectator always there for his grandchildren's games rain or shine. Bud was the stock room manager for 28 years at the former J.C. Penny Southland Store. He previously worked for the former Sentle Trucking and Babcock Dairy. Bud is survived by his beloved wife Nancy (Fabier) of 58 years whom he married on August 9, 1952. He is also survived by his loving children-daughter, Gail Christie and sons Mark (Cherie) Miller, Dan (Jill) Miller, and Brian (Karen) Miller; sister, Pat Alves of California, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. His strength and love will be missed by all. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marilyn Cutler. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd on Monday January 24, 2011 2-8 P.M. with scripture services at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 25 at 9:30 A.M. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. Interment will take place in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to St. Patrick of Heatherdowns School or Scholarship Fund.
