Carolyn Gertrude ''Trudy'' Fox

Carolyn Gertrude "Trudy" Fox, 76, of Sylvania, OH passed away on May 23, 2018 at her home. Trudy was born on March 3, 1942 in Cairo, IL to Russell C. and Phyllis J. (McFadden) Fox. Trudy graduated from Greenhills High School in Cincinnati, OH before earning her B.A. in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She worked as registered nurse for several years in the health care field. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved brother, Russell C. Fox Jr. Surviving are her sister, Deborah (Donald) Briggs; sister-in-law, Marcia Fox; nieces and nephews, Andrew (Lisa) Fox, Sarah (Al) Rahal, Donald Briggs, and Lindsey Briggs, and great-nieces and nephews, Ali Rahal, Sofia Rahal, Grace Fox and Sam Fox. She is also survived by her aunt Martha Evans and uncle Ralph Fox, as well as by numerous Fox and McFadden cousins in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Colorado. Trudy was a kind and gentle soul, played the piano beautifully and loved playing her favorite piano pieces, the "Bumble Boogie" and Debussy's "Clair de Lune". Her insatiable love for Hershey's chocolate bars was surpassed only by her love of family. She will especially be missed by her family at the Genesis Sylvania Center, who loved and cared for her for almost twenty years. A small memorial service will be held in California.
