Betty Marie Lingruen

Betty Marie Lingruen, 95 of Maumee, Ohio passed away Friday November 25, 2016 in The Elizabeth Scott Community. Born on March 29, 1921 in Toledo, Ohio to Arthur and Mertie May (Rife) Skeldon. Betty enlisted into military service on December 12, 1942 and served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) during WWII as an Aviation Cadet. Betty worked as a clerk at the former Westgate Lions Department store for 15 years. Betty was a 65 year member of St Petri Lutheran Church, Maumee Valley Garden Club, and was a former member of the Valleywood Golf Club. Betty enjoyed playing cards and bowling. Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Schacht, brother, Arthur Skeldon Jr and her parents. Surviving is her daughter, Judy Lingruen, grandchildren, Elizabeth (Matthew) Carlson, Adam (Megan) Woeller, Jennifer (Joe) Rau, Molly (Shawn) Huffman, also surviving are 7 Great-Grandchildren. The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd and Byrne Road Wednesday November 30, 2016 2-6 p.m. where services will be held on Thursday December 1, 2016 at 10:30 A.M.
