Betty Mae Hadorn Betty Mae Hadorn, 89, of Toledo passed away peacefully Monday June 30, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo Campus. Betty was born on November 20, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph Brinkman & Alice Brinkman (Hunter). A lifelong resident of Toledo Ohio, Betty was a graduate of Libbey High School where she received awards for shorthand and typing. She was also a long-standing member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Betty Mae married Frederick Hadorn in 1947. Betty Mae was a secretary and operator with Northern Aircraft during WWII until the end of the war, and after worked for the Bunting, Brass & Bronze till 1950. Betty Mae also worked at Grogan Realty, was a Cub Scout Den Mother, did volunteer work at Beverly and Crossgates Elementary Schools, St. John's High School and eventually retired in 1999 as a secretary from Millstream Development. Betty Mae was also a member of Shadow Valley Tennis Club where she played often and made many friends. Never without a dog or cat at her side, after retiring, she enjoyed gardening and her family and friends. Betty Mae was preceded in death by her husband Frederick J Hadorn in August of 1999. Surviving are sons, Timothy (Regina) Hadorn, Christopher (Shannon) Hadorn, grandsons, Noah and Tyler Hadorn. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. Friday July 4, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. Services will be private with interment at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
