Betty J Falk Betty J Falk, age 87 of South Toledo passed away January 22, 2015. Betty was born May 24, 1927 to Margaret and E.L. Bedford. She was the Widow of Howard E Falk Sr, who preceded her in death in 1993. She was employed by the Jennison-Wright Corp for 25 years, retiring in 1983. Betty was a member of Palestine Chapter # 51 Order of Eastern Stars. She was a Past Matron as well as having served in various other stations. Betty was a Mobile Meals volunteer for over 15 years. Also she was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Neighbors, friends and family enjoyed her sugar cookies and called her the "Cookie Lady". The family thanks the Elizabeth Scott Community for making Mom's last year and a half the best it could possibly be. A special thanks goes to Nicole, Patti and the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving and compassionate care in Mom's final days. Survivors include son, Howard E. (Jerry) Falk of Simi Valley, CA; daughter Barbara (Martin) Vick, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road on Tuesday January 27, 2015 4-8 P.M. where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday January 28, 2015. Internment will take place in Elliston Cemetery. The family requests memorials be given to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Mobile Meals, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the charity of the donor's choice.
