Bernard William "Bernie" Harris Jr, 68 of Toledo, Ohio passed away October 20, 2020 in his residence. Born July 13, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to Bernard William and Rose Marie (Solarek) Harris Sr.

Bernard was graduate of Lark Lane School and work at various shelter workshops. Bernard was a member of the Christian Fellowship. Bernard participated in many special need's athletic events such as the New York Marathon, wheelchair Olympics, he traveled the world as a Christian missionary.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Randy Harris, nephews Luke Harris, Christian Karnes, great nephew Austin Baxley. Surviving is sister, Sherry Ann (Bruce) Harris, Half-sister, Vicky Sager, nephews, Jason (Valerie) Karnes, Raymond E Karnes, Brian (Rose) Karnes, Shane (Heidi) Sager, nieces, Tracylynn (Jeffery) Davis, Jennifer (Steven) Yates, Rebecca Cochran, Chad Cochran Great Nephews and Nieces, Randie Marie, Shawn, Andrew, Cheyenne, Max, Ezekiel, Travis, Thomas, Alex, Ryan, Vega, Bryce, Tristan, Ella, Sean, Lyra, Great Great Nieces and Nephews, Bella, Shawn Jr., Colt.

The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road on Friday October 23, 2020 after 11:00 A.M. where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Restlawn Cemetery.


Feeling

I believe God watches all life.

By creating life and things necessary to live.

I feel I am doing some jobs for him.
I help people to have good time and fun.
People want to be talked and listened to.
I take time to talk and I take time to listen.
Sometimes I am a clown.
I do this to help people laugh.
I do not like people unhappy.
I feel God gave me this one thing.
I can't talk the way others do.
I talk with my eyes, laughter, body,
and acceptance of other people.
I feel this is God's way to explain
Human life.
Some people are disabled
And some people are not.
God allow me to have a gift which is
To reach out others
