Joseph P Franckhauser

Patriarch of our family, Joseph P. Franckhauser (96), passed away

peacefully on February 29, 2024, in Toledo, OH. He was born in Steubenville, OH

on February 2, 1928. Joseph married Carolyn (nee Kelly) Franckhauser on

December 27, 1949. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1950 and

was a proud alumni supporter. He was a skilled craftsman, a devoted Buckeye fan,

an avid golfer, and most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 74 years and their children,

Virginia Krueger, Marilyn Mills (Dan), Carol Caulkins (David), Joseph Franckhauser

(Jane), Janis Boles (Gary), James Franckhauser, Jeffrey Franckhauser, Chris

Franckhauser, and Jerry Franckhauser (Tracy). He is also survived by his brother, J.

Michael Franckhauser, his seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great-

grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church. Interment will be private. Anyone

wishing to offer memorials are kindly asked to consider St. Patrick of

Heatherdowns.
