Grace Audrey Crye, 91, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo to Grace (Keefer) Wendell, and Louis V. Wendell, Jr. on September 14, 1924.
Grace was happily employed in retail sales at LaSalle's, Macy's, and Elder-Beerman Stores until her retirement at the age of 84. She loved working with hats and handbags and interacting with her customers. When she was not working, she enjoyed researching family genealogy and spending time with her family. For the past few months she was enjoying her life at Spring Meadows Senior Community.
Grace "Audrey" is survived by her loving daughter, Janet Crye Kajfasz, grandson Ted Kajfasz, brother George Rushlow, former sisters in law Beatrice and Stella, nephews George Rushlow, Terry (Sue) Rushlow, Daniel Dewey, niece Sherry Tittle, and numerous great nieces and nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road on Thursday, September 15th, 2016 after 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. They will also receive guests on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. where a service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Please view and sign Grace’s condolence page at berstickerscottfuneralhome.com.
