The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mary Glen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I just learned of Dr. Glen's passing. I enjoyed my time with her at UT and I was fortunate to have her as my undergraduate advisor. My condolences to her family and friends.

Condolence From: Leslie (& Cris) Wang
Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Mary Louise Glen from 1991 to 2006 at The University of Toledo, both at the former Community and Technical College and the Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Mary Louise was a dedicated teacher to her students and a caring mentor in my professional development as a faculty member. She was a true friend to both my wife Cris and me. Mary Louise will be missed.

Condolence: Mary Lou was a colleague and a friend at UT/Com-Tech. We spent time on work related items but also time on personal interests discussing our families, current events, social science and travels. I enjoyed her display of strength and fortitude facing the challenges of life. Mary Lou was a gem.

Condolence From: Linda Gubbe
Condolence: Dr. Glen was part of my first department when I was hired to teach at The Community & Technical College (ComTech) at UT until its dissolution 10 years later. During that time, I had the pleasure of getting to know Mary Lou a bit. I have fond memories of two luncheons she hosted at the Toledo Country Club: one near Christmas for female faculty in our department and another, which was a luncheon for female friends and faculty, which featured her display of Beatrix Potter books and animals. I remember how much she enjoyed portraying Ms. Potter at local elementary schools. I also remember a potluck at her home for our department when she shared slides of her Kenya trip with us. Mary Lou was often traveling somewhere interesting and we enjoyed hearing about her travels. My condolences to her family.

Condolence From: Kellie Bell
Condolence: I feel fortunate to have spent a couple of hours every other week with Mrs. Glen. I would provide her with a mani/pedi or a facial. She would provide me with wisdom and knowledge and a friendship that I will always cherish. You always knew where you stood with her and I admire that. She absolutely loved her sons and grandchildren. A truly awesome lady that I miss already.
